Belfonte Ice Cream and Dairy

InQuest Marketing has been the Agency of Record for Kansas City's family owned Belfonte Ice Cream and Dairy Foods company since 1996.  Our initial task was to elevate the brand perception to reflect the great value and quality of the ice cream, and the freshness of the products made locally.  Research indicated that indeed, consumers believe that dairy products produced locally would in fact be fresher.  To drive market awareness that the Belfonte Ice Cream was produced locally by a family that ensured only the highest quality ingredients were used, the positioning phrase "Family Made Just For You" was born.

Our work for this great Midwest brand includes everything from package design to producing TV commercials. We've also developed a website and leverage outdoor digital boards to drive consumers online. One of the most memorable TV campaigns included a "man on the street" reporter that politely interviewed grocery store customers shopping for ice cream - only to find out that a father son combo named "Ben and Jerry" loved Belfonte Ice Cream. Of course so did "The Breyers Family" and a lovely lady dressed in all blue named "Bunny".
