WellPet, a manufacturer of natural pet foods located in Tewksbury, MA, selected InQuest Marketing in the Fall of 2009 to help them engage more dog owners across the country.  With a strong brand message to tell, the primary goal was to leverage the passion and loyalty of their customers to spread the word and acquire new customers.

The solution that InQuest Marketing brought to the table, was to turn the oldest form of marketing (word-of-mouth) into a modern-day referral campaign.  Existing customers were invited by email, to give other dog owners free samples of Wellness products.   The consumers that received the free sample offer simply clicked on the link, filled out a form and made their request.  The referrer was sent a digital coupon as a thank you for being an advocate of the brand.



This interactive approach allowed our client to immediately begin acquiring new customers.  While loyal customers refer others, the quality of their product and relevant follow-up communications convert many samplers into buyers.  Every referral and sample request is tracked, resulting in a rapidly growing customer and prospect database.  It’s innovative.  It’s effective.  It’s 100% measurable.
